Aprilia RSVR Factory (’04)

Bought this without riding it from Fora Italia in Silverstone. Fell in love with the noise and the shiny bits. Since then I have lost my track day cherry on it and can just about hold my own in the Intermediate group. Have also toured on it, one two week, 3,000 mile adventure saw me and mate on an ’05 GSXR 1000 play in the South of France, the Alps, both Italian coasts, watch the Moto GP in Misano before tackling the Stelvio, Over the years mods have been simple, lowered the gearing wth a Talon sprocket, changed the clutch cylinder to reduce the clutch lever pressure. Other than that just keep chucking tyres and routine servicing at it,

Always looks better with out the rear plate

New chain and sprocket, gearing down makes a difference. Exhausts without baffles are pretty anti-social, but sound great

So many colours, how many can you get on one bike?

+ GOOD POINTS
Amazing sound, good stable handling and Factory brakes, wheel and suspension make a difference. Quick enough to keep you awake and the low down grunt is addictive

- BAD POINTS
Far from comfortable riding position, eats batteries unless you keep them on charge. The sprag clutch will fail at the most inopportune moment, in my case about to the board the EuroTunnel for a track day in France
